Having served as general counsel to one of Mississippi’s largest privately held companies, our business lawyers firmly believe that a lawyer who takes the time to understand a client’s business will bring more value to the deal table than a mere technician. To that end, we endeavor to gain an understanding not only of how the client’s business works, but also of the client’s business goals and objectives. Thus, whether negotiating a complex acquisition or divestiture, drafting an important business agreement, organizing and financing a new venture, or planning and developing a retail shopping center, our goal is to become a valued part of the client’s team, utilizing our legal skills and experience to help make the deal happen.

Civil Litigation
Whether the client is a corporation or an individual, the client’s case is about the client. We do not try every case that our firm handles. Indeed, our goal is to resolve cases without taking them to the courtroom. However, we prepare every case as if it is going to be taken to the courtroom and won. Our objective is to aggressively dictate the pace of the case and control the litigation. While our experience ranges across all sectors of litigation, our practice is focused upon civil litigation matters, ranging from the defense of personal injury cases, to medical malpractice defense, construction law, products liability, trucking cases, healthcare consulting for physicians, clinics and hospitals, premises liability, employment disputes, EPL consulting and litigation, arbitration, mediation, insurance disputes and coverage issues, bad faith, chancery matters, and appellate work. While coming from different backgrounds, all of the team members at the firm share the same dedication and willingness to do the work necessary to get the job done efficiently and successfully.
